Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to join our Information Technology team, focused on supporting critical financial systems and business processes. In this role, you will analyze, document, and improve current business functions, participate in process redesign, and contribute to the development and testing of financial applications. This position is instrumental in our ongoing business transformation and requires a deep understanding of financial systems, strong technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing financial systems and dependent business processes to identify opportunities for optimization and modernization.
  • Assist in the re-engineering of financial systems and processes impacted by our ongoing business transformation.
  • Work as a developer and subject matter expert on large cross-functional application projects focused on complex financial business processes.
  • Ensure the development and implementation of robust and scalable solutions that meet business needs.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to quality assurance teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Offer hands-on support and mentorship to colleagues, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve problems and issues using troubleshooting tools and techniques.
  • Drive continuous improvement by designing and implementing new processes, methodologies, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication, support, and delivery of projects to the highest standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in software development and apply this knowledge to your work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience as a lead developer or development manager.
  • 5+ years of broad experience with development technologies, including CA Gen, Classic ASP, and DB2 for z/OS or Oracle databases (or similar relational databases).
  • Highly desired skills include VB, Javascript, and Microsoft Visual Studio/.NET.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of terminology and concepts of DB2 for z/OS or Oracle databases, including SQL proficiency.
  • Proficiency with Computer Associates' CA Gen workstation toolset for web server, online, and batch procedures.
  • Knowledge of Computer Associates' CA Gen Com Proxy service.
  • Knowledge of Active Server Pages (Classic ASP), VB, and J-script.
  • Knowledge of IBM Z-Server, CICS, JCL, and COBOL.
  • Experience with development and maintenance of software systems for complex financial business processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Capability to conduct complex systems analysis and translate user requirements into business solutions.
  • Ability to integrate research and best practices into problem avoidance and continuous improvement.
  • Strong leadership and ability to effectively communicate with and lead development teams.
  • Ability to display professionalism in interactions with all levels of management and staff.

Hybrid Work Schedule:

This position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing flexibility while maintaining in-person collaboration. You will be expected to work in the office a minimum of three days per week, with the remaining days eligible for remote work.

Onboarding: To ensure a smooth transition and foster team connection, your first day will be onsite.
